Location Based Walking Tour

Created for Northwestern University’s Center for Native & Indigenous Research

This project was designed and produced for Northwestern University’s Center for Native American and Indigenous Research. Lead by Dr. Patty Loew, this app-based walking tour gives listeners insight into the past and present experiences of indigenous people in the Evanston area. The app tracks a user's GPS and plays soundscapes, music, and interview clips based on a user's location as they walk the campus.

We worked with the Center to create audio content from their library of existing interview and audio recordings. We also did on location recording of events. From that material we created the finished audio experience and developed the audio user experience for the tour.

You can listen to a sample below, or take the tour or listen to stops remotely by downloading the Echoes app and finding the tour at this link.
